Without any doubt, 2018 has been a year of hugely celebrated weddings!

Many Celebes from every corner of the world has given headlines and so much stuff to discuss this year!

Google has released the list of most searched weddings of 2018 as it was a year full of high-profile marriages, including two royal nuptials and multiple surprise celebrity affairs.

So who made the spots in Top 10?

The Royal Wedding


Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married at Windsor Castle on May 19th. The world watched the wedding live, just like out of a fairytale. The bride wore custom Clare Waight Keller by Givenchy dress, and a veil embroidered with flowers of the Commonwealth. Her mother cried silently as she watched her only daughter at the altar.

The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a carriage ride around Windsor following through the Castle’s iconic long walk. In the evening, they attended the reception at Frogmore House, where Meghan wore a Stella McCartney dress along with Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring.

Priyanka Chopra –Nick Jonas Wedding



On December 1, the two married in an elaborate affair. There were both Christian and Hindu ceremonies at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur which means two dresses for the single wedding. Priyanka wore a custom red lehenga by Sabyasachi and a Ralph Lauren creation with 2,380,000 pearl sequins.

Princess Eugenie’s Wedding


Princess Eugenie is the daughter of the Queen’s second son Prince Andrew. She wed Jack Brooksbank on October 12 at Windsor Castle, which was adorned with autumnal flowers for the occasion.

Eugenie wore a Peter Pilotto dress and Queen Elizabeth’s Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara on her big day.

Kat Von D’s Wedding


In a twist on tradition, Kat Von D married musician Rafael Reyes aka Leafar Seyer in a Goth wedding. Where the bride broke all stereotypes of “all weddings need to be white” and wore a red and black dress. While the wedding decor included skulls and a plethora of candles.

Deepika Padukone – Ranveer Singh Wedding


Well, this was the wedding everyone waited for!

Bollywood lovebirds, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, tied the knots at Villa del Balbianello, an 18th-century stunning view of Lake Como. They both wore Sabyasachi Mukherjee-designed formalwear.

The wedding took place with a small ceremony at the National Archives as per Mika’s words: “We wanted it to be minimal and simple and not what you expected from Mika and Joe. Everything we do is exposed, and everything felt exposed every step of the way, so we want this to be private until it’s over. We wanted to recognise it more quietly and have the people who are most important to us around us.”

Kane Brown Wedding


Singer Kane Brown married fellow musician Katelyn Jae in Franklin. The couple said: “We wanted something here in Nashville and loved the idea of having it at home and not travelling since we are on the road so much. It’s not too rural but has so many elements of nature—a huge lake, rolling hills, trees. It’s just beautiful out there.”
